Gas Turbine

Introduction

Carrington has two Gas Turbines, both of which are Alstom GT26B machines comprising of 22 sections.

The Gas Turbines feature a compressor which draws in ambient air through a two stage filtration air intake filter system. The air is compressed and goes through the process of sequential combustion where the fuel/air mixture undergoes two stages of combustion to limit emissions.

The Gas Turbines each produce 294.82 MW of the overall plant output.
