Introducing Carrington Power Station!

Carrington is an 884 MW power station, comprising of two units of 442 MW, that employs Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) technology to generate enough electricity to power over one million homes and businesses.

The station is owned and operated by Ireland's state-owned Electricity Supply Board (ESB). Carrington began commercial operation on the 18th of September 2016 and has an overall CCGT net efficiency of approximately 58%, one of the most efficient of its kind in the UK.
