Turbine Construction

A cage of steel reinforcement is constructed that will strengthen the foundation. Typically a foundation will contain around 75t of steel. The entire foundation is typically up to 20 metres in diameter and 3m high. You will note the ducting for the power export cables in red within the steel cage and as they exit in the pedestal area.
