Pumping Mode

220kV Electrical Compound

Pumping Mode describes when Turlough Hill operates in reverse to carry the water back up from Lough Nahanagan to the Upper Reservoir.

To start the pumping process, electricity is imported from the ESB Network via the 220kV Electrical Compound.
